10 community volunteers tackled winter creeper and multiflora rose invasives.
Area prepped for replanting natives - started with native Rose Mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos) along the edge of an area that gets storm water runoff. Mallow can thrive in moist areas and can get the most sun along the edge of the planting zone. Bees and pollinators enjoy the nectar from the blooms throughout the summer from this large perennial. These 10 volunteers worked over 26 combined hours, contributing $395 to our grant's required match.
