- Jennifer Erena
Mark gave us a tour of the work he has done around the creek banks. He has planted seeds and deep rooted, herbaceous bushes to stabilize the bank. After getting rid of the invasive vines, the native plants have thrived, and the mosquito population has declined!
The area of concern is where a sewer line crossed the creek. The banks erode and when creek debris is collected, it floods and creates boggy areas. Mark had packed cut logs around it which helped a little but needs a more permanent and effective solution.
Russ Turpin helped identify plants.
